Should I go out with friends or stay home with my boyfriend?

I need some advice , so it’s New Year’s Eve and me and my boyfriend didn’t really communicate what we would be doing today, he assumed we would hang out cuz it’s New Year’s Eve , but since he didn’t make plans with me I assumed I would make plans with my friends incase he rejected me but he didn’t. he will be watching football until 11 cuz it’s Sunday sadly. We called and he assumed he’d be coming over my house and I said I made plans bc u didn’t text me until last minute and so he encouraged me to go but be safe, I also encouraged him to come with me but he doesn’t like being in a car for New Year’s Eve especially cuz it’s an hour away and also he has social anxiety and doesn’t like parties or places he doesn’t know. I like partying tho. But I can’t just leave him on New Year’s Eve even tho I rlly want him to come to. I called him back and said what if when I come back at 1am I stay over ur house but he said he’ll be tired at that point. I’m thinking of cancelling the New Years party and staying at my house with him (it’ll just be us too which is boring to me but I don’t want him to be mad at me)
