Yesterday I had a date in a bowling and the guy was surprised that I was not wearing socks with my converse. What is wrong with that?
I honestly would find that strange, the only sockless footwear would be sandals/flipflops, slippers. Socks are an extra cushion for you foot, also soaks up sweat so your shoe is cleaner, also tends to stop blisters from forming so a cushion against the shoe. And it's a norm compared to not wearing socks. Plus if working etc and in uniform socks can be the only personalised item of clothing that can be worn and seen, so can be a little rebel accessory too.

I’d wear socks if I had to wear other peoples shoes. A lot of the time I don’t wear socks with my own shoes. That’s because my feet don’t really sweat. And I routinely take the sole out of the shoes I wear and wash and clean them. But that’s for easy slip on shoes, if it’s like high tops I’ll definitely wear socks or if it’s boots etc. I don’t want the back of my foot or ankles to get rubbed raw.
nothing with that, just some breathable insoles, and get yourself some good foot powder. Otherwise you are at risk for catching and getting foot disease, nail fungus, althetes foot etc. Nail fungus you don't want, because its very hard to get rid of, in some cases, it take up to a year.
Nail fungus loves sweaty and warm feet lol. If you can't get insoles, just get some foot powder to keep feet nice a dry.
You can do whatever you want but you should be aware...
Socks absorb perspiration from your feet. Without socks, that perspiration goes into the shoe, where it smells (forever) and even starts to break down the shoe material, since perspiration is acidic.
Socks also cushion the foot and reduce the chance of getting blisters. as your foot slides around inside the shoe.

Your feet will probably get sweaty. It’s better to wear socks. I wonder why don’t you like wearing socks?
It's a matter of personal preference. It's a sign that someone may be controlling or manipulative if they take issue with your preferences. To me, this dude was probably full of red flags.
Be who you are. Those who deserve to be in your life will accept you as you are and not try to overtly or passive-aggressively coerce changes they want to see in you.
It's a quick ticket to athletes foot, smells, and blisters. That's just off the top of my head, but I can guess there is more reasons. That first one I mentioned though... athletes foot... you're making yourself a target with shared shoes.
Feet sweat. Socks absorb that sweat. Socks can then be washed.
If you wear shoes with no socks, that sweat just accumulates in the shoes and becomes a swampy mess that can't be practically removed and the only option is to throw the shoes away.
I know that from first hand experience. When you don't wear same shoes over days it's not really a problem. If you feed the food fungi in your shoes every day with skin remains and moisture, your shoes turn quickly in fungi farm.
There's nothing wrong with wearing shoes without socks, but you may have to wash your feet more often, or have one of your guy friends lick them clean for you from time to time.
Sweat, bacteria, etc. I don't wear socks with my climbing shoes, but after a session, I'll spray them out with "10 seconds" spray so they don't go rank
Anything Goes These Days. Maybe He Should have Figured You MAY BE Wearing---Peds? Reconsider The Opinionated Guy. xx
Petite wear socks so their shoes don't get sweaty and stinky. You have to wear socks at the bowling alley if you use their shoes, not doing so is foul.
Nothing wrong but bare in mind that your feet and shoes might get smelly.
You are standing in the shoe. That's what my village people say.
Girls can get away with this kind of thing because it can be cute. Guys just look like they’re not capable of doing their own laundry when they’re missing articles of clothing.
Nothing inherently wrong. But It’s mostly a personal Higiene thing.
Feet sweat and socks act as a buffer, at least for closed toe shoes, since almost no ventilation is provided to your feet. It’s disgusting for other people renting the shoes and it makes your shoes stink without socks absorbing the sweat
as long as they don't reek there's really nothing wrong with it
It's not really the greatest thing to do. Heels are one thing, but, sneakers are another
Think it depends on the shoe but no it’s not wrong
Did the bowling alley allow you to rent shoes?
trollllllll in the gag site
Nothing wrong with it at all
