I don't think there is a dynamic fits all.

There are men who would be fine being a house husband and his wife providing, and vice versa. And others who want to split the responsibility.

I think we should let each couple choose what works best for them

I feel like it is a partnership. Men and women alike should contribute in every aspect of a relationship. That means financially, cooking, cleaning, and laundry. I feel like it is an equal partnership. It is a team effort. If both work together and do their part the relationship with thrive.
