So, what, do you need some statistics? Or what?
My second boyfriend was through tinder. The first guy I swiped 'like' on.
And my fourth boyfriend was also from tinder.
Then there was a fling, unknown on-off situationship-thing with one from tinder.
And one I went on two dates with. - had to end it because I found out I wasn't ready to date after a really rough break-up I hoped to get over.
Other than that I've had some matches. Some where neither of us wrote.
Some where he started off creepy. Like instantly asking if I liked kinky sex.
And a few where I felt like I had to pull the conversation out of then, so it ended shortly after.

Oh yeah, also used it when I was on a trip to Japan. One asked as the first thing if I liked sex...
And I also found this guy I knew, matched him and we kissed that night I think it was (it was a special kind of school you can choose to attend after high-school, if you want to, the focus is more events and socializing and specific curriculars - no exams or anything. The guy was from that "school", we were in the same "class" for some of the subjects. So it was a "school trip")
But what about your day to day usage? Did you find that majority of the men you come across were just unattractive to you?
Like if you swipe 900 times would you only swipe right on 4 guys?
Hmm, it's been a while. But it was more than that.
Especially when I started out, I would get too nervous and such, so I swiped no to a bunch of them.
I also won't swipe if the guy didn't write anything in the bio, only had one picture and stuff like that.
Well, that's what a lot of men are noticing, because I've been on dating apps for almost a year and haven't gotten one right swipe. Then I saw this Reddit post where a guy used an AI generated image of himself, and started getting matches at first. It was 10 in a week than it became hundreds in a day. I guess they algorithm pushes your face forward the more girls like your picture.
And he said he never wrote anything in his bio. All he did was switch his photos.
But my point is these hookup apps aren't built for a long lasting relationships or even to get to know somebody.
It's basically " hey girls are vain and they go after superficial stuff, so you better pretend to be that thing that every girl likes or else you won't have a relationship"
Cuz if you think about it back in the day girls had to choose from guys that approach them. And in those days you would always see some guy landed girl that was out of his League.
But now because girls are the ones who choose guys based on superficial things, they're basically only hooking up with a small minority of men.
Cuz especially with me. I have way more success with girls from all races in real life, but if you just see a random picture of me on the internet you probably wouldn't give me the time of day. So I'm going to try the AI thing and see if anything changes
I don't really say how what I said proved any of what you're saying.
But I'm not on the apps anymore. It doesn't give me anything choosing someone from photos and poorly written bios.
I prefer watching how they act in real life and such
But watching them in real still hinges on the fact that men have to approach you, and if the guys that you want have millions of options online, why would they approach a girl in real life?
If they don't want me, they don't want me. It's that simple.
Then it wouldn't matter if I'm on their phone or right under their nose.
I might not approach you in real life but swipe right on you online. Now how would your brain interpret this? Do I want you or am I rejecting you?
That you might think of me as a good enough hole. But not fully interested in getting to know me.

If I want something healthy I kind of need to be emotionally ready again so I don't take the crappy things with me into the new relationship.

Lack of trust, damaged self-worth. Fucked up emotions when it comes to sex.
I've been all over the place, and I'm even wondering if I might be aromantic or not.
I've struggled to get back on my feet. If I didn't have depression back then, I certainly flirted with the line.

Maybe this whole online dating apps is what caused this imbalance. Before dating apps you'd have to meet people online and that would probably be better for your mental health

Yes I have and it wasn't great. Got nothing but weirdos and creeps. There was maybe one guy that wasn't so bad, he just was into bdsm which I wasn't into.
I've heard several girls say the same story but in fact there was one girl that said she matched with a guy and she told him to come over because he said he wanted to paint with her so (she was a virgin by the way) she got all her acrylics and markers ready to paint with the guy and as soon as she opened the door he put his tongue down her mouth and had sex with her and then left and never called again.
And you have to think about this. If he's so used to matching up with the girls and just hooking up with them and leaving, he must be getting all the swipes to the point where girls that are looking for normal relationships still end up getting used and abused because girls find 90% of men unattractive on Tinder. But the guys that they do match with other ones that are going to abuse them because they have so much option.
Kind of hilarious when you think about it
