Guys, Have you ever dated a girl with social anxiety? If so, how was it like and did it last?

I’m currently dating this girl with social anxiety. We met back in September on Bumble. She mentioned to me after our second date that she has social anxiety and that she has been going to group therapy sessions. We discussed it and it is helping her and along with her spending time with me she said. She’s a really sweet girl but at times she’s very standoffish. We’ve kissed and that’s because I’ve asked and only held hands once because I asked. If I’m patient enough will things change like her being more comfortable?

It was exhausting.

All that work and efforts we put into it, and every time we were back to square one. Eventually she cheated on me, so evidently she wasn't that socially anxious.

Worst thing, I was actually relieved to find out because I could break up with her without looking like the bad guy.

She’s been working on it and it doesn’t seem that bad. We went on a double date with my friend and his wife. We went to top golf and dinner after. During the golf she felt a little embarrassed but she said she had fun and would go out with them again. She’s just very standoffish which she mentioned.

it all depends on if your a people person. if you have a proble with having to be around people all the time then no it won't work but if she can be your best friend also and yoy can do stuff together and just enjoy life with each other then you will be just fine

Ok thank you for this. We both enjoy spending time together too. I have no problem not being around people all the time. I’m fine with it. I’m just worried if she will feel more comfortable and open up more.
