Should I follow my father's love advice?

First we are talking about a man who lived a turbulent life of abuse and drug use but has a developed intuition.

And every time I have told him my way of seeing life, with things like "life is beautiful" or that believing in someone is nice, he tells me something like "I'm just telling you that you should never open your heart to anyone."
And yes, my father and I are polar opposites but he usually sees me and tells me things like "man is the most perverse creature."

A failure doesn't mean his advice would be failure too. But in can also be case that in process of learning they have messed and learnt the lessons with their mistakes.

I would suggest you listen, ask the detailed reason behind it what's their explanation. And then you decide your own how far it seems good and logical to you can you trust it or not. Seeing it's others side too.

I mean he got a good point.. but the thing is if u find ur woman who Won't hurt u etc then u should open ur heart to her
