If you don’t text a lot with someone but have great conversation and show interest in person, will that affect the relationship you two are building?

Wanting to text would be an instant dealbreaker. If someone can't even handle basic communication, then there is no point in going any further.

No I mean we don’t text but in person we flirt, smile, accept each others company/presence. Have good conversation. He’s asked me out on a date but he said he’s not a texter. So, when we don’t see each other I don’t text him because I respect him saying he doesn’t text much but I sometimes do want to just text “Hey”. I overthink a lot and I sometimes think those few days we go without seeing each other, plus no texting. He may lose interest.

But then another part of me is like if all it takes for him to lose interest Is not texting on the few days we don’t see each other, then there wasn’t really any real interest to begin with. Like, when you like someone you just like them. Unless they do someone horrible, small things like that won’t intervene with you guys interest in each other.
