Is it wrong to text your partner how you’re feeling instead of having a face to face conversation?

I’m very uncomfortable voicing how I feel so I put together my thoughts and text it to him. He wants to have face to face conversations but I shut down and texting it easier for me. Once I’m comfortable, I will open up and talk but it’s generally days later. Is what I’m doing wrong?
