I am so much better on the phone than either text or email. Nonverbal expressions are paramount and with the phone we at least get tone, pitch, and cadence.

hmm, both can go very differently and have their pros and cons as well...

I still prefer talking on the phone, which is what we would do for the more important things to talk about and when actually meeting in person was not an option at the moment

I am better when talking on the phone but sometimes when both of us at work texting is the only option we have.

Texting is fine for "can you pick up a gallon of milk on your way home this afternoon?" Actually talking, on the phone or in person, is far superior for "I love you."

While texting can be helpful in giving you extra time to formulate a response, I find taking to be more accurate communication as you can at least hear the inflection in the other person's voice
