there is no activity or a place that is the best.
the best is when we have chemistry. sometimes I need some catalyst to get the conversation going or help it move in a direction where we are laughing or have some tension. but if we are already hitting it off then I'd rather just sit and talk instead of having something interrupt us.
but there are some no-nos:
places where the activity is too dominant like a movie.
places with loud noises so we can barely talk or keep saying "What did you say?"👴
places that remove the ability to show our best part like being sweaty from sports.

I don't go on many dates anymore. But when I was dating a lot more, my first date preference was always coffee. Low investment and good conversation. If she was psycho, it's easy to bail and if it was going well it could always escalate easily. It also weeded out the girls that only wanted a "foodie call" or free dinner. Yeah, not a chance on a first date.
