I believe that all humans beings are "shallow" to a degree whether we realize it or not. I believe we're all shallow for very deep reasons. Our appearance is a great indicator of genetic quality. I also don't think it's such a bad thing to be shallow so long as someone is realistic about it & not purposefully mean to others.

I'm sure if that woman was attracted to a man, she wouldn't be initially into him for something "deep" like who he is as a person or whatever. If she's functioning properly, her initial attraction will mainly be with his exterior/looks. He'd have to pass a looks threshold to even be considered as a viable mate. Then she'd focus on the "deep" stuff.
