well cause the human mind works in such a way that it will find the things it is looking for. whether it's actually real or not doesn't matter. that's why religion exists.

if your partner doesn't show you enough affection, ask for it. but don't constantly probe if "he's still loving you". that breaks even the best relationship.

well for that case, you should prepare with the right conversational skills. look up "non-violent communication". also you have a big lever in this matter. positive enforcement. you gotta find ways to positively enforce behavior that you'd like to see more of.

i would say in many cases where partners show less affection the reason is lacking gratification, validation and overall positive response to the display of affection.

also you should generally do what needs to be done to keep a relationship maintained. that'll help you significantly to reduce the risk of that happening. don't sit there waiting and fearing it may happens. do what needs to be done.
