If I only like fair skinned black women, does that mean I don’t really like black women?

I like biracial fair skinned black women like Zoe Kravitz or Jorja Smith but have been told if I only like these types of women I don’t really like black women because they look more white. Is this true? It’s not that I don’t like darker skin black woman I just don’t often, but fair skin I like them just as much as I like white girls

I mean, everyone's got their own preferences right? As long as you're not putting down black women who aren't fair skinned or saying ones that are look "more white" then I don't think it necessarily means you don't like black women. Liking certain features more doesn't erase your attraction to a whole group.

But I can see why some black girls might feel like you aren't really down for them fully if you only go for the lighter ones. Could come off like you wanna date a black girl as long as she doesn't look "too black" or something.

Maybe try keeping an open mind with darker girls too - don't judge just based on skin tone cause you might miss out on some real cool genuine women. And don't act like their blackness is a negative, ya feel me? As long as you appreciate black women in general then I wouldn't stress too much. But don't be surprised if some think you favoring light skins sends the wrong message about what you're really bout.
