Would dating a 19 year old be weird?

I'm 25 and there's this guy at my job who liked me. The way he looks at me and stares at me all the time gave away that he likes me. Him and I just started actually speaking to each other. I never told him my age but from other coworkers they told me he's 19. He's so mature and sweet and I was expecting him to be like 21 but he does look a little young. I'm sure when I tell him my age he might loss interest but if he doesn't I think it'll still be weird to date him.

A 6 year age gap ain't normally a big deal as adults get older. But 19 is still pretty young - his prefrontal cortex ain't even done developing yet. He probs got a lotta growing still to do.

Plus people might give you funny looks or talk shit. Coworkers could even get the wrong idea, like you're abusing a power dynamic cuz you're older. Even if it ain't true, rumors mess with your reputation, you feel me?

I'd say keep getting to know him as a friend, feel the vibes more to see if it develops naturally. But don't rush into anything serious or physical just yet. In a year or two when he's older it might hit different, but 19 is borderline bro for real.

You only live once so follow your heart - just proceed with caution is all I'm saying. No need to make it complicated this early, ya know?

As you start to get to actually know him, you are probably going to realize you really have nothing in common. Those two ages are very different in comparison.
