Why do you ignore messages? Because you are not interested in dialogue with that person.
I understand but why not tell them that?
Because they are so insignificant to you they don't warrant a blow off message.
I guess. Why would someone follow you back but ignore your messages? Is it the same?

Honestly I think it is stupid to follow someone back just to be polite. If I don't like someone I wouldn't follow them

I asked them if their phone number was the same on social media and they said yes. I followed up and asked could I text them and no response, does that mean they don't want to text?
That happened to me twice today. Except they just said "no"
