Recently, there’s been a shift in my life where I actually enjoy not being around anyone. Just staying home locked up in my room, relaxing. a lot of my friends have significant others, and often ask me when am I going to find my person? The answer is right now I don’t want to.
All I wanna do is work, go to school and get my masters degree, travel and see the world, go out with my friends and party and also stay home just relaxing.
I don’t wanna date or be with anyone. My friends often say that’s a lonely way to live. But I feel like I’m not where I wanna be in my life yet and once I’m there then I’ll focus on finding someone.
Do you feel happier when you’re alone or when you’re with someone?
thats something i had finally come to after awhile of struggling is being happy being alone. its great that im here finally and i feel like i can really grow as a person from here. There still are moments though where i would like to share things with someone but it quickly fades after hanging out with loved ones.
So i am happier alone and for me to get into another relationship its gonna have to be someone who enhances my life or makes me feel being with them is somehow better than being alone. that person would have to be pretty special.
I’m happy to be by myself I’m not sure if I’m happier alone. I just know that I do like my own company and I have learnt to enjoy my own company.
I find being by myself to be a lot less hassle. I’ve learned to rely on myself a lot more and that I don’t need anyone to do something. Doing stuff on my own has been fun. I don’t need to think about anyone else, worry about others needs, take into account anyone else’s feelings or problems; I can just be me and focus on me and do whatever I like.
I think sometimes I’m happier by myself/on my own without anyone else because sometimes I just don’t have the energy to focus on someone else’s happiness when I only want to think about my own. I like my own space, I can go by my own schedule and I can live the way I want to without having to deal with anyone else’s crap.
I don't know if it’s happier to be alone but it’s definitely easier. Easier to be alone and easier to find happiness when I’m on my own.

There is a reason that the worst punishment in prison is solitary confinement and you are here trying to glorify it and make it sound fun. Dying alone won't be as fun as you think, especially when you get past the wall and simps stop giving you attention. Single childless women over 40 are the most miserable class of human beings for a reason.
I’m not trying to encourage anything. I’m just saying that I prefer being alone. And asking if other people feel the same.
Actually research does show that that single unmarried women without children are happier than married women with children. Also, single unmarried women without children live longer than married women with children 😂 food for thought.
I love my company honestly more than any of my friends haha To your friends who comment it's not right how you're spending your life, the answer is it's your life and not theirs. So, it's upto you how you wanna spend your time and what makes you feel good. Thing about people in general is they always have something to say whether required or not. More ofthen than not it's also gonna be a negative opinion so they should be ideally left at bay and we should continue doing our thing and sing our song. What people don't understand is every individual is distinct from others and each individual has it's own preferences. Just do what you feel like, whatever makes you happy and don't give a thought about what others say.
All well and good to not want it now but you have 60+ years left of life and by the time YOU are ready doesn't mean any man you want will want you. In fact according to the statistics women in their mid 30s+ seem to be getting rejected a lot. Also "All I wanna do is work, go to school and get my masters degree" this is a fairly major red flag for most guys. So I would sincerely consider if you want to be alone because you could end up being alone for a long time given how society is right now
Did I say it was a red flag to focus on yourself? No. I said to most men it is a red flag for you a woman to want to work, go to school, focus on a masters degree. That translates to career woman. And career women are among the least desirable women in the US because they are argumentative, loud, masculine, brash, etc... Men will marry a waitress over a career woman
You are literally describing what it is to focus on yourself. To self-improve is to enhance one’s mental, physical, emotional capabilities. Focusing on school enhances my knowledge on my field of study which ultimately sets me up from advancement in my career which in turn enhances my financial standing which enhances my way of life.
Let’s say I don’t focus on my career. I didn’t go to school get a degree, or get a job. I basically have nothing, I am more desirable to men? Because not being a woman with a career correlates to being “feminine”. People often confuse femininity with being submissive. Disagreeing with a man, some men call that argumentative. The way I see it is men want to control women. And the men who can’t, grow to despise the women who don’t bend to their will.
It has nothing to do with control and everything to do with the fact that argumentative women suck at communicating. My wife disagrees with me quite often has no effect. She is also submissive and feminine. The reality is if you end up deciding you want to be in a relationship or married in 10 years the odds of your relationship being healthy and happy are 30% or less. Most men know this because these statistics are being brought up so often by everyone. News articles, youtubers, friends, family, strangers etc. I mean heck if you want to see what the dating scene looks like for women in their 30s/40s just have a look at their videos all over the place. I don't even watch that content and I still see it pop up on my YouTube semi regularly. What I am saying is consider seriously if you really want to be alone because the reality is with the statistics in the state they are (and getting worse) you could wind up alone for the next 60 ish years. As things stand around half of all currently single US women between 25 and 40 something are going to be single and childless by 2030. That is 6 years out. Also I didn't say don't get a job. My wife was working when we met she actually also has 2 degrees and she has no career because I let her choose almost 20 years ago. She was working as a waitress. I had more than enough money at the time and had met many career women and they all were not worth a relationship to me. Turns out many of them are still single about 20 years later. A few did find a husband. Of those women I think 3 of them are still married to the same man. The rest divorced for all the reasons you would expect. He didn't make as much money, they never saw each other, lack of intimacy, Etc etc etc
The same way all men describe an argumentative woman. Anytime I ask her to do something it is an argument. I ask her for help it is an argument. I ask her what she wants: argument. If she gets home before me and I ask if she can make dinner for both of us: argument. I want to take some time to relax? Argument. I have no interest in a woman who agrees with everything I say. I also have no interest in a woman that turns everything into a fight or power struggle. Which is what career women do. And they do that because they have become masculine via their work. You can have a job without becoming masculine. That is the difference between career women and women that work.
Sometimes lonely times are forced on people like military service or other circumstances maybe going out to college and not making friends right away being a loner can be fun, but I also can be a two edged sword waking up to a bed with just you in it.
For the most part yes, I still want a lover but being alone doesn't bother me, I've lived this long and I can continue to do so without a partner, I kinda reached a point tho where I want a change in my life and maybe i should start looking into starting a family and whatnot
I've always been single. But I've never felt alone. So I don't know specifically what your question is asking. I think wanting to be with someone because you might feel alone is the WORST reason to be with someone. Be with them because you enjoy then, thier company and no other reason.
I wouldn't worry about what your friends say. Do what feels right for you.
It's a good thing to be whole by yourself. You may never feel the need to be in a relationship, or the want to be in one. Do what you want to do and can afford to do, and you'll make decisions along the way.
Yes, but I've also witnessed and become part of our spiritual / eternal world and reason for being. If you only tend to the physical, you will find that it's not enough. I've been alone for decades and I love it, but I've also developed a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Since that time, I've seen healing miracles and manifestation from the unseen realm right in front of my eyes.
I really enjoy my alone time. I'm divorced and my son splits time with me and my ex, and he'll be going off to college in the fall. I wish i had more friends locally I could go out to eat with or see movies, but I have NO desire to get married again or have a steady relationship where my weekends are taken up.
I also enjoy travelling alone as I can set my own agenda.
Yes and no. I crave good loving honest people to be around, I give people a chance and then they make me realise why being alone is better. I feel better being alone than with people when they only waste my time in the long run.
That second picture is really nice. I like my peace and quiet. But I wouldn't call it alone time, because I can have her join me in bed and just be snuggled up together in complete silence. It's great. It's like being alone, but not really.

Women in the West have been brainwashed into believing that being mothers is somehow oppressive. Meanwhile, they work for uncaring corporations and dickhead bosses. It's distinctly evil and to just create more taxpayers.
Not all corporate jobs like you say are ‘uncaring’ but you have to remember the main purpose of starting a corporation or a business is to gain profit. That’s why people start up businesses and corporations. As long as I’m getting paid what I’m worth and being recognized for my accomplishments, and going above and beyond for my job by getting raises or promotions I honestly don’t have an issue with that. But if I do work for a corporation that is like you say uncaring, then I’ll just move onto a different corporation or start my own private practice 🤷🏻♀️ I feel like a lot of men and/or some women believe that women’s life should be a certain way, and that violates our freedom. Just because society deems that women should have kids doesn’t mean that I’m going to follow that norm. A lot of people I feel like our force to have kids and they end up neglecting their children, then the children end up turning to substances and crime but some of them don’t, it just depends on the kid.
Luckily my dad taught me to never depend on anyone because no one is going anywhere to care about you more than yourself. And this is true.
Right now I have a great career working for the city, I have one of my dream cars, making payments on my home and going to school for my masters. I don’t need anyone and I am happy. I don’t need or want kids or a significant other right now. I just want to travel, spend time with my parents and grandparents, hangout with friends and work towards my goals!
All corporations are uncaring. You will leave and be replaced in 2 weeks. Your accomplishments you're describing to me are your material possessions. That's sad.
I believe I am. But this is mainly because I don't highly value the things that having a partner would bring. The juice wouldn't be worth the squeeze for me.
No, I would say for me I am fine alone or with someone special. They both have their benefits.

yeah I know what you mean. I have periods of my life like that, but I always end up hitting a spot where I miss being around the humans. But I definitely do appreciate the alone time on occasion.
Such romanticization of being single.. Like it is what it is.. You got a season for it, and then you'll get to that point where you wanna find somebody again.. It's not really a huge thing..
