Do you have respect for a guy that says no to friends?

A girl I like that we’ve crossed the line between just being friends and can’t go back. (Clear there’s interest as more there as she initiated that)

She now has a boyfriend and I’ve said how I feel and have said no to being friends.

What is your thoughts if a guy says no to friends?

As you would know the guy doesn’t see you as just a friend and he’s respecting himself to not pretend that would be ok.

That I am making my intentions clear that I can’t be “just friends” as we know I’m not

And I am curious if the women would have respect for me rather than one of those guys that just says yea to being friends to pretend and wait their time to see if she will change their mind

Perfect that’s what I hope as I do think there’s something there but it’s not going to happen atm. She’s with her ex ex (first love that broke her heart) I can’t compete with unresolved feelings. I’m also not going to wait around like a bitch as a “friend”

She knows how I feel and I’m happy to stand by not being friends even if she hates me for that

I genuinely care about her and respect her

But I have to respect myself

I’ve told her I’m there for her if she needs me though

I still care a lot but just more than what is allowed with the current scenario

So I need to do me and when they break up I hope she respects me for that
