She went to an obese guy and got fat? Just weird that a girl would go from someone who is fit to someone who is obese?

I don’t know, I can only guess. My guess is her previous boyfriend made her feel pressured to keep up her appearance, and not so much for health reasons. That can be exhausting for some girls; being pressured to always look good. She probably decided she had enough and chose someone who would be easier to be with. Someone who embraced comfort and didn’t care so much about health and appearances. So she allowed herself to become comfortable, and in doing so she gained weight.
