What’s the difference between “seeing someone “ “dating” and “exclusive” all this dating malarkey is confusing

The term “seeing someone “ usually means you occasionally get together with the other person, it may or may not be serious, and you may be seeing others.

The term “dating” usually means you regularly get together with the other person, it may or may not be serious, and you may be dating others.

The term “exclusive” means that you are dating one person and only that person, it is usually serious.

I am in agreement. As soon as exclusive started being used it sort of implied everybody else was non exclusive which I would hope not to be the case.

It depends on who you ask. They are terms used to say I am a broken slut who can't commit but I still need attention and validation to cope with my unresolved trauma. Other than exclusive obviously.

There is polyamory, but why it needs to be different? two words can mean the same thing.
