It could be different for different person but I think the most humble, honest, respectful way with having some confident could be attractive to most of girls. Directly asking for date could creep some people so I would say first some short conversation, some introduction of himself, some appreciation, then question and then asking for date ending with giving them option to reject or accept could be an attractive way. At least for myself.

For me the way could be like,
Hey, how are you enjoying this show? Wasn't that artist was good?
...
You are looking beautiful today.
...
Are you single? Why? Not interested in relationship?
...
I'm... Working as...
I would like to know about you more if you allow me to
Would you like to go on date with me or on coffee sometime?
This is my number ping me if you are interested
I'll be waiting for your answer tonight if it's a yes.

Like this man also need not to wait forever for her answer.

No that's the worst possible way and will get you rejected by 99% of women. The only girls who'll be impressed are the type that ask "what does it mean" questions on GAG.

Never mention she's beautiful or pretty it sounds creepy and forced. Nor should you ask for a date in the first sentence. No one is going to meet up with you simply because you they're beautiful. We want to know what YOU have to offer.

Here's how you do it.

Strike up a natural none sexually conversation.
Find common ground.
Judge if she finds you interesting.
Then ask if she wants to meet up.
