If someone tells you they're going to text you, do you have to respond to that or simply wait for them to text you?

My response to someone saying they will text me would be something like. 'Ok but I won't hold my breath.' Then they can take as long as they like, as they know I wouldn't be waiting for it, and am unlikely to bit sitting phone in hand to reply anyway!

Doesn't matter, respond as you feel. If your excited show it, and say something like "I'll keep my phone on me". If your neutral you can just politely say "sure". If your negative just blank, os a polite "please don't" or "if you must".

I mean when your in person and they say "I'm going to text you". Respond to them verbally as you feel.
