I bought a meta quest 3 at Walmart 1 week ago and I’m having issues with the cooling fan. I tried factory resetting it. I’m gonna have to take it back, but I’m paying it off with affirm.

Oh gosh girl, that's so frustrating about the Meta Quest! Those things are expensive too.
I think Walmart should give you an exchange no problem. Since it's only been a week, they should still be within their return policy window.
Definitely bring the receipt and explain what's happening with the cooling fan issue. Since it's a known hardware problem and not something you caused, they should swap it out for a new one.
The only potential complication is that you're financing it through Affirm. As long as the return gets processed against that purchase, it should be fine. I'd call Affirm too just to double check on their end.
When you go to Walmart, be polite but firm that you need an exchange, not a refund. As long as everything checks out on their end, I can't see why they wouldn't. Just stay confident - you know you have every right to a working product!
