What makes people feel at ease around you?

I’ve often been told by people, that they feel very good by my side,

at ease,

comfortable,

the way they are.

I was told that yesterday for the last time and twice in the last two weeks by two different people.

The girl said “You know, I feel like I can be myself when I am with you and I don’t know how you do this but I feel like I’ve known you forever.”

And the guy said “I feel really so comfortable with you. I love it.”

I wonder what makes different people feel the same.

What about one’s personality - makes people feel comfortable and at ease?

It means you have a good heart and that you treat people the same way you want to be treated in return , you come off as kind and caring and laid back , Me personally gets the same compliments from most people that get to know me. They always tell me that I am easy going and laid back and not much of a judgmental person that i treat everyone with respect whether someone has 2 heads or looks like they came out of a trash can I will still treat them with kindness and respect if they choose to do the same they say that I am easy to get along with and that they feel comfortable being around me. I always questioned myself as to why people thought this way about me , to realize it’s just the way I am. So you are probably a lot like me if you are getting those compliments

What makes people feel at ease around me? Well in person (even online) i look big, and grumpy, and unapproachable, but soon as they start talking to me, i start either make fun of some situation, or crack a sinister joke (come closer, i promise i won't bite, not from the start anyway), and 1h later they confess like...: you know? Actually you're a nice guy, and esy person to talk to (duh ofcourse i am because a picture does not portray the real life).🤷‍♂️😅

I think for me once someone gets to know me and realize I'm not just some shy, quiet, awkward guy that many feel that way with me too. I'm good at listening to people and saying what I believe. I think since I'm quiet at the beginning people feel safe talking to me once they realize they can.

That's simple. You allow people to be themselves. It's a trait that all non judgmental people have. Add to it a decent sense of humour and you have a winner! ie You in this case :D

Nothing, the air is always heavy around me, but that's when I talk to people at all. I don't even waste time with pleasantries, I'm not there because I want to talk to anyone, I'm there because I have business to tend to

The fact I am calm, stable, trustworthy, non-judgmental as in its your life. If you want to do something stupid or otherwise do it.
