In my family, I have a reputation of being reckless, impulsive and risky.

My brother, even though, is younger, is thought to be more wise than me. Which I totally agree.

Sometimes I think it’s nice I am a girl, because with my reckless behavior being a guy would be very risky.

I’m kind of weird in that sense. I’m extremely cautious about myself in most situations. Like I still have never climbed a tree in my life for fear of falling out of it and breaking a bone, like I saw other kids do when I was little. I live right by the beach but I rarely swim because of sharks, lmao. I do a lot of freshwater fishing, and once I figured out there are huge snapping turtles around, I no longer go deep into the water in my waders, or anywhere that I can’t clearly see the bottom is sandy and turtle-free.

But then other stuff I do is super reckless lmfao. I played (American) football most of my life, for no money as an adult, and you can really get hurt playing that sport. And now ditto for ice hockey, I’m hurt all the time now, lmfao, I just started playing that in my 40s. I kind of laugh at the idea of calling marijuana “drugs”, but the fact is that it used to be illegal, and I sold it for YEARS, and a lot of it, lmao, risking arrest, prison time, etc. I wasn’t reckless in how I carried business out, but just doing it alone is reckless in some senses. I was a bouncer at various bars for ten years, that can put you in risky situations, to either be hurt or to hurt someone else and face legal trouble. I love mosh pits at rock concerts, those are good way to get injured too.

But then when I drive, I won’t even go 5 mph over the speed limit, I’m wicked cautious😂

So I’m really just one extreme or the other, hahaha. I think I’m cautious but brave, and I’ll tough out pain to do things that benefit me or give my soul a charge, but won’t risk it over something silly.

I'm an extreme case. A pic from last year. I can explain it but I already did multiple times before here. I just get into these situations all the time [I don't have chest tat, that was just to show someone on Discord that I wasn't a catfish after they suspected me].

Above one was from a bar brawl but I have others like this from rmy 20s:

That came from skateboarding accident and my wife took picture right after and I just thought I busted my arm really bad and it was sort of funny. My lip hurt worse since my tooth cut through it (lost my front tooth). But then I realized a week after that my humerus was fractured after my wife insisted I go to hospital as my hands started to turn purple.

Also my drinking way is so reckless.

I'm the type of lunatic where the risk is the reward. Sane people judge risk against reward. For me, if it's risky and interesting (not just jumping off a cliff, of course -- as maniacal as I am, I am neither a sadist nor want to die), I usually want to do it and without putting much thought into it.

I don't mean this as a boast. I just want people to understand how messed up I am. It might even be a plea for help! 😁🙏 My impulsivity and addiction to extremely dangerous and risky behaviors is one of my most dangerous addictions, even worse than alcohol.

I say it just has to depend on the circumstances I suppose for life threatening situations I can take risks otherwise probably not. Unless I could afford a somewhat risky hobby like…. I don’t know lots of safaris with daily lion interaction lol

Gosh no. I'm not good at taking risks. I'm super cautious, which is annoying. I try to fight my nature at times, and then it might fail and just reassure me that I have to not take risks... That sucks

Financial risk = absolutely , but you have to do that to achieve anything , but calculated , silly things like Motor bike no helmet , should not do that , I've Bungee jumped here in beautiful always safe Thailand , I've been intoxicated in areas where I should not have been..

I jumped off a double story roof into a shallow pool ( very silly ) but ended fine..

I've pursued relationships that were dangerous , both sexual and otherwise.

Still , I think all was clearly calculated for the most part.

Same here. Skydiving, high risk / high reward stocks, speeding, bored one weekend so we drove to Florida and slept in van by beach begging for food cuz we spent all our $ on alcohol, truly FUCK with people who annoy me (forward their mail to ex's house, turn around and face rude people in elevator, sugar in gas tank), picked up hitchhikers, hassle cops. It's much more fun when you always say "I don't know. I've never tried that! Let's do it!"

People tend to look at what we do as a risk.
While yes there can be a higher level of Sanger that comes with the job, we rely on training, each other, our equipment and those like myself who are in command.
But I also ride motorcycles, raced just about anything with an engine in it, scuba dive.
Just must be in my blood.

No. The risks I’ve taken have only led me closer and closer to jail. And all I did was chase women for a relationship. Now I prefer to be single. Safer that way. Women are not worth the risk of going to jail

The answer is No. For me staying safe and protecting myself is more important than taking risks. I also love my comfort zone so the answer is No.

However as an exception I may take calculated risks but that is very rare.
