Not really. The woman I date is my best friend too. That’s not an insult to be a best friend.
Now if he said you are ONLY his friend… that might be a break up.
He said I’m his just best friend I meant
I apologize… I think I read your post too quickly. You did say “only”. I think this is where you need to ask for clarification. No reason to think the worst until you know for sure.
And again sorry I misread your question.
Actually it’s my fault I type in only when he said just best friends
He said you’re just best friends? To me that sounds like you were never in a relationship to begin with let alone in one now.
At first he said we’re dating and a couple. He said it’s up to me if I wanna break up with him.
How incredibly manipulative and cold of him. If I were you I’d end things because of how much he’s pushing for it with his actions, like calling you just his best friend. I don’t think he wants to be the one at fault, so if you were to break up with him he thinks he’ll have a clearer conscience. But make no mistake, that is not him “winning”, it actually shows what a shitty person he is to push and push until your back was against the wall and you had no other choice. He could never feel anything other than guilt for doing that to you.
Then he made a comment I couldn’t have us the time we needed because he claims he’s so busy with work and his family
If he can’t prioritize you as he does he family then that’s not a good boyfriend to have.
