First date I might kiss her hand. Then I'm old fashioned and I know it.

Second date probably a kiss on the cheek.

Third on the lips.

It also depends on where we meet up. My first fiancée lived with her parents and when we were at my place it was no holds barred, but if I picked her up from her home I would kiss her hand rather than disrespect her folks.

Dating a month he should be respecting your pace. Actually he should be doing that anyway, but if you were aiming for his cheek and he moved to get your mouth that's a bit forward - to say the least. It's not just where his mouth goes you need to consider.

Where are his hands? Does he pull you in for full body contact? (Not asking you to tell me, just to consider the positioning)

The big question is how comfortable are you when he's kissing you that way? If it's less than 100% then that's an amber flag at least...
