He's tall and strong, and I want some of that height and strength protecting me. I'm 5 foot 3 and I reach him at the shoulder. We've chatted and I've smiled with him a lot, and he asked me out on a date. He picked me up and when I sat in the front seat of his car, I folded my sleeves so he could see my arms. We went for a coffee. More chatting and I smiled with him some more. When he dropped me home, I told him there was a guy lurking around the area that I didn't trust and I wanted him to stay for a while. He agreed, and I changed into my comfy shorts and my t shirt and brought him something to drink. After two more hours of hanging out, he asked me if I was feeling safe and I said "Thanks for protecting me" and gave him a hug. He kissed my cheek and then mischievously lifted my shirt and tickled my belly and I giggled. It was only after he left that I pulled my shirt back down. How do you think this is going so far?

It looks as if he did not get your hint. You obviously made it clear to him that you wanted more than just him accompanying you home and I am not sure I believe the story of the guy lurking around in the neighborhood.

Both of you seem to be a little on the shy side as he did not take the hint and neither did you take it a step further as you would have hoped it would go.

But that is fine. So far, this guy acts as a gentleman and makes you feel safe. That is the most important.
