it sucks.
I came home early one day and found my soon to be ex-wife doinking the landlord.
Now it's pretty funny to think back on.
The site of him trying to pull his pants on while trying to hide in the closet now makes me laugh.
He was married, so we got divorced, they got divorced, her life was never all that great after.
She married someone else, the 2 of them never did end up together, her second husband was lazy, didn't work so she struggled most of the time, but she did have 2 great kids.
My life turned out great.
I traveled, never wanted for anything, was pretty successful, my needs were met and then some.
I did not get married again until late in life, and we have a lot of fun together.
I guess that karma thing can be a bitch after all.
I had another girlfriend that cheated on me, so I just dumped her and moved on.
It was maybe 6 moths or so and she came into my store and wanted to get back together.
I guess the grass wasn't so green on the other side of the fence after all, but I wanted to, I just didn't trust her.
I kind of wonder what would have happened if I would have taken her back.
I still think the trust thing would have gotten in the way.

You feel it physically and emotionally. When my ex cheated on me, of course I felt my heart rate rise like I would before a fight. Emotionally I was a rollercoaster. I asked why it happened, felt confused, angry, sad and useless all at once.

It took everything in my power to not lash out at both of them. The ONLY reason the two of them are still alive and in perfect health is because I had given my life to Jesus about 2 months before I found out about her cheating. God's presence washed over me and I felt the command in my soul to walk away. Without God's grace, they might not be here and I might be in prison.

It has also damaged my trust in women. I've tried dating and even recently had a girl I dated almost enough time to call a girlfriend recently, but the doubt is always there. And that is unfair to put on a new partner so I ended the relationship.

it's like someone got your heart out when you are still alive... I fought with sharp physical pain in my chest for a few weeks. It was a psychosomatic reaction. It was a way my body tried to fight not expected, huge stress... I don't think I was really aware of what was really happening. With time, physical pain switched to mental. Trains of thoughts, overthinking, looking for someone to blame, and ultimately, blaming myself...

for me, it ended with a depression-anxiety episode diagnosis, and I've got medication to stabilize my emotions, especially anxiety, because I experienced panic attacks.

Awful. Like the rug was pulled right out from under you to leave you falling down a rabbit hole like Alice in Wonderland and everything revealed to you from that point suddenly makes you feel like the biggest chump for not seeing it earlier… nothing makes sense.

Correction… one thing makes sense…. Change the locks and leave the cheater’s stuff out on the curb for him/her or the weekly trash collector to pick up. First come first serve.

I've been cheated on in all but 1 relationship. It hurts... Knowing that the one you thought actually cared about you decided you weren't enough for them and decided to be intimate with someone else knowing you still loved them... After having it done 3/4 times its not something you can just get used to. Its like that person took part of your soul away from you and you will never get it back. You'll end up too broken and soulless for whoever comes next. Which is why I've been alone for 9 years now and have grown used to it to the point where the idea of a new relationship scares me more than the idea of being alone forever.

Been cheated on twice.

Once with someone i didn't really care about because we only been dating for a short time, that hurt but not to bad.

But someone i was really in love with cheated on me, and that pain was the worst feeling i ever felt.

My whole world felt shattered. I really have 0 respect for cheaters. They really don't know how cowardly it is, and how much pain they cause someone they are supposed to care about.

It would have been so much better if they would've just broke up with me before cheating.

It is perhaps one of the worst feelings in the world, so it's lucky that it doesn't last for long. It's a combination of rage and grief that is very difficult to deal with in the short-term. In the long term. You realize that the person that did it is not somebody you ever want to have anything to do with again and you kick them out of your life and never let them back in. When this has happened to me I was never angry at the guy they cheated with. I was angry at the woman that did the cheating.

Can’t imagine anything worse. Even if circumstances manage you to reconcile there the misery that this person doesn’t care about you as much or the same way as you cared about them, and that hurt gets constantly triggered.
