This girl I used to talk to at work walked past me to see who I was because I drove something new. Well her new “boyfriend” saw and now he’s driving his mom’s and dads car to work to try to show off… why would he do this?

Dang bro, sounds like this girl's new dude is insecure as hell if he's trying that hard to show off just cause you were driving something nice. A few possibilities:

- He knows you used to talk to her and is threatened by you as competition

- He thinks since you drove past she might notice you and compare him to you

- Deep down he doesn't feel worthy of her so little things set him off

- Or maybe there actually was something between you two he's worried about

Either way, you must have intimidated him just by cruising by in your sweet ride! It's kind of funny and pathetic he has to run to mommy and daddy's car just to try and one-up you.

I wouldn't pay him too much mind though. You don't need to prove anything to this clown. Just keep being your cool self - that's what really attracts girls anyway, not lame shows of possession. Let him stress... you're above that nonsense bro!

I think you may be thinking too much into it. Maybe his car needed to be repaired, or have a part replaced, and he opted to use his parents car for the time being.
It doesn't sound like he is showing off. It sounds like you are butthurt over this boyfriend taking away the attention from yourself, so you are finding anything to complain about lol.
