Why does my boyfriend try to make me jealous with other girls?

We were at mini golf for his flat mates birthday and he was talking to this girl briefly while smiling back at me and he kept staring as if to get a reaction.

I'm also 2 years older than my boyfriend and he jokes about being with a younger girl. I find this quite odd since he doesn't get much female attention and hasn't had many girlfriend in the past

That’s sad.. he seems like he gets a rise out of it. Maybe he wants to see how you’d react. Either way, he shouldn’t be trying to make you feel insecure. I’d be like “cool if you don’t want me then go, I’ll happily hold the door open “ that’s just me tho lol but really you should have a talk with him and see what he’s trying to get out of this by doing this to you.

Because he’s a POS. I’d leave him. No person should try to intentionally make another person jealous, that’s not a good person. Have you asked him why he does that? I’d tell his ass well guess what you can have your little skanks in out. Call him on it, pull that rug from under him by making it backfire in his face.

It does not matter, whether a woman tries to make a man jealous or a man tries to make a woman jealous. This is a manipulative mind game and such games should never be tolerated.

Talk to him about this and even after this he continues this behavior then break up should be the last option.

Seems petty and childish to me. I would discuss it plainly with him, try to determine his reasoning, and make it clear you don’t appreciate it.
