So I met this trans girl on a LGBT dating app and she asked for my number and said "I hope you're serious about this because I'm tired of games" (or something along those lines). Anyways, I gave her my number and we started texting back and forth. Eventually she says that she'll text me later because she has to do something. Then she asks if I have any money I can give her and when I told her that I didn't she just said "That's okay no problem" and left it at that. I looked at her profile and it said she is in an open relationship, but when I asked her if she was single she said she is. So am I being played? Should I ask her about her "open relationship" status or something? And how do I know if things are going well?

Hmm sounds like there could be some red flags here my dude. A few things I'd be wondering about:
- Why'd she ask for money so quick? Usually that's not a good sign and could mean she just wants to use you.
- The open relationship thing is sketchy if she's now saying she's single. Might be lying about something.
- Her profile said one thing but now she's telling you another - that shows she's not being totally honest.
If it was me, I'd probably ask her straight up to explain the deal with the open relationship status. See how she reacts and if her answer makes sense or seems sketchy. Pay attention to any inconsistencies in what she says.
At the same time though, don't wanna come across as accusing. Maybe just say you noticed the discrepancy and want to understand her situation better since you're hoping to take things further.
If she gets all defensive, evades answering clearly or lies some more, I'd say peace out dude. Just not worth wasting time on someone you can't really trust. But see how the convo goes first before making any moves. Good luck man!
Big red flag that she's asking you for money right off the bat. I would say avoid this person.
If you are still insistent on seeing her, then speaking as someone in an open relationship, if her profile says she is taken then assume there is going to be someone else you will have to share her time with. But based on your description I'm thinking this has disaster written all over it.
Is it a bad thing if I see her active on the app, but hasn’t texted me yet?
Yeah, especially if you are messaging her and getting no responses. That money thing really bothers me about her. Something tells me that if you had given her money, she'd be way more chatty with you just to get more money.
Dang that’s a shame. I’m hoping she DOES end up texting me soon, but I’m worried you may be right
Good luck in your search, I just don't think she's gonna be the one.
