By choosing to find the soulmate as soon as you start dating, you're automatically choosing to be with only this person, the rest of your life, meaning you've never enjoyed someone else, whether they be your soulmate or not.

And is this just soulmates where someone feels like your soulmate, or as in an alternative universe, where real soulmates exist?

Yes this is a situation where soulmates exist, and essentially right when you first started dating as a teen. Essentially if you chose the soulmate option, there would be zero reason to date around, but you may feel you missed out on opportunities that you never had.

Hmm that's a toughie. It's not like I'm dating that much, and I assume f it's a soulmate, I wouldn't feel the need to be dating any others. And when I was younger, especially, I was a very big hopeless romantic.

However, I also believe I have learned a lot about myself while dating, and I've matured a lot over the years.

And will meeting that soulmate even be a guarantee? Will they also want to date? Or is there a risk they won't?

How do you know that they're your soulmate? There's a lot of ideas for the soulmate trope, so I'm curious what you want to go after.

Essentially it's like the Greek myth where humans used to have four arms two heads, etc and they spend their entire life trying to find their soulmate in this situation. You do like right away and of course they want you to. Essentially, you would give up dating and having sex with a bunch of people to lead up to possibly finding your soulmate or whatever. But to be guaranteed to find your soulmate right away. Live happily ever after. But you don't get the experience the joys of trying to find your soulmate.
