Signs to look for if a guy is interested in dating long term or just playing games?

I’ve been seeing this guy I met on bumble for just over a month and been on 4 dates, we’ve planned the next already (we didn’t see each other for about 3 weeks after the first date due to both of our schedules but consistently talked and was actually impressed with the effort he made). I’m starting to like him but I know he sees other people which is fine and he also just updated his profile. Is this how modern dating is really? I’m not expecting to jump in a relationship but considering he’s already seeing other girls and I would say things are going good between us why is there a need to update your profile for even more options? I just don’t know if he’s playing games or if he’s actually interested. What are some signs that he’s interested but just taking is slow and exploring options?

He is giving you a clear sign if he is already seeing other people. That means he in interested in others. You need to set boundaries when dating and that means you get to know the guys first as friends. You ask questions like what he is looking for. Pay close attention to what they say as a guy who is truly interested in a long term will be consistent with texting you or calling, making plans and will make you feel at peace. I say ask questions and if you like to start to like a guy be clear with your communication and don't be afraid to walk away if they are not giving you the respect you are looking for. 3 weeks is a long time to not see each other because no one is that busy. I've been on dating aps too and I know when they update their photo they are looking for more options

We didn’t see each other for that long because I was away and/or busy, he was happy to wait for me and made an effort to communicate. He hasn’t said he’s seeing other girls but it’s my assumption based on some things I’ve seen. He’s honestly been great and so so respectful, it’s the profile updating that is making me question. We haven’t been intimate yet but don’t want to jump into anything until I’m 100% comfortable he’s not playing around.

I would say just be careful. Make it clear what your intentions are so he knows to respect you. I wouldn't be intimate until he clearly puts effort into taking you out on dates, communicating, showing you respect. If a guy is truly interested he will want to make it official with you and he will wait to have sex with you. Like Steve Harvey says the 90 day rule.
