A few of my friends don't like the word cute because they think it means friend zoning. I personally love it as a compliment and it's something my crush calls me all the time. So, what do you guys mean when you say cute Vs sexy Vs hot Vs pretty etc. ? Thank you

Cute is a positive compliment. If he is saying that to you, he likes what he sees. The all of you. You definitely rubbed him the right way if he is constantly saying that to you. He needs to take the next move and ask you out, my opinion, as I'm sure you are putting off that vibe towards him. Sounds like he is shy.

He's very sweet compliments me a lot and recently said we have Jim and Pam energy from the office , who are an iconic flirty couple.. but he lives far away. He wants to visit me this year. I'm not sure if it'll ever work with the distance unfortunately. I definitely like him but I don't know if he will like me enough to want me long term.

I've been in long-distance relationships. They are tricky. If anything, you can be emotionally supportive to one another for now and meet up when the timing is right.

It really depends on context.

A guy might call you cute because he doesn't find you attractive, but also doesn't want to make you feel bad.

Or he might call you cute because he IS attracted to you, but he doesn't want to sound creepy or aggressive by calling you hot, pretty, beautiful, or anything like that.

Cute in my mind is better than "hot." Hot is more like sexy, which to me implies looking at the girl like a piece of meat. Cute implies an inner beauty, as in a cute personality, as well as an attractive physicality. As for me, I take being called cute as a compliment.

Sexy' and Hot' , to me are not descriptive words I use. Too much like 'street talk. Cute, pretty, attractive, are descriptions that seem more honest to me.
