Ghosted but not blocked after hookup?

So as the title says, why would a man cease

communication via text but keep the lines of

communication open?

For context, I am a single parent, and my dating profile

says "short term fun". So I started chatting to another

divorced man with kids, we go for coffee, chemistry was

great, sex was great, we parted ways. We chatted later

that day and the next morning via text, then he went

quiet.

I sent him a cheeky message about noticing he left me

on read and that I'm totally 0K with it. (Which I am, it was

just a hookup) However, I would really like to hookup

again sometime, but not sure if I should reach out to him

to make arrangements. (We live about an hours drive

apart so it's quite a mission to meet up, both of us have

kids and other obligations that keep us busy)

He hasn't blocked me but 1 haven't heard anything either

so i assume he is still open to hookup..

Just wanted to hear from you guys, what do you think

this man is thinking... I don't want to reach out and look

like a fool, but I would like to see him again for another

casual hookup.

Any advice and opinions welcome.

Appreciate the comments, but just to clarify, I am not hurt by this, it was a hookup (I'm an independent and sexual woman that enjoys hooking up, I didn't ask for judgement). I want to see him again sometime again but unsure if I should message him, I mean he hasn't blocked me and he definitely enjoyed our get together... I would like to initiate another hookup... but should I do it or wait for him to make the next move?
