Interest or no?

Ok so about a month ago I went on a date with a guy, I asked him, while we haven't been on an 2nd date the conversations we have and the interactions we have are positive and productive. But I am super confused and don't know if he is interested in furthering things or just friendship? Thoughts and opinions please?

Well it's not just small talk he actually starts the conversation, pur last interaction he invited me into the library of the building we were in and we browsed the books in there and meaningful conversation that was started by him

Perhaps he hasn't asked you or on a date because he thinks if you wanted to you'd ask him kind of thing

He said yes the date was fun and it happened about 1 month ago. I sent him a text the next day thanking him for going with me and that I had fun and enjoyed getting to know him and he basically said the same thing back. But no 2nd date has happened as of yet.

Oh, man I knew that, I'm saying maybe he's waiting for you to ask again because you asked for the first one. I do find it odd he hadn't asked you and he should be asking you on the second date but it's an odd world we live in

Yes I want to ask him on a 2nd date but I am scared to do so.

He's shy probably and that makes it hard to read your feelings. You could find out unless you are too.
