Some people are pretty good at that. Some totally suck at it. Unless you know the person well, you won't know whether they are good or bad at it.

I'm in between - not good, but not bad. I'm not as bad as I used to be. When I was young I was completely oblivious to what should have been obvious signs. In the past, a girl could grab ahold of me and stick her tongue down my throat, and I'd be wondering if that meant she was into me. I'm exaggerating a little, but not by much

Some can and some can’t, also even among those that can, they do miss a lot, I know I do, as it’s often a friend (usually a girl) that comes out with ‘she’s well into you’, and I completely miss it.
I tend to flirt a fair bit, it’s just a sort of natural thing and can be my worst enemy, as the girl will think I’m interested, whereas I’m not and it’s just me chatting.
I also make the basic assumption that they are not and see how it develops.

Not emotionally attracted, but it's easy to tell from one look that a guy is physically attracted to a girl.

If he gives a girl that I-want-to-have-sex-with-her look, it means he wants to have sex with her.

More seriously, pupillary reaction is a giveaway. Dilation generally means attracted. If there's no iris showing at all then check for a pulse...
