I'm Dutch, my fiance is from the US West Coast. He is an American expat working at my office in Amsterdam. We introduced ourselves, started talking and began dating... and we got engaged. In fact, he proposed to me in the Alps.

He's the best guy I've met anywhere, better than the European men I have been with (Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Netherlands, etc). Not that the men from these countries are no good, they just didn't hold a candle to my my fiance. Not sure if it is the American charm...

It was a BAD CALL. Ffs I will never date an American living in America ever again. Especially not a straight white one.

He thought immigrating to Canada was like an intrastate move. He would've been banned from Canada for 1yr but he was legit so stupid and dumb that the CBPOs waived that because he "doesn't seem capable of that type of criminal intent".

I am from the US. I got married on April 27 to a woman who was born and raised in China. I think she is an extraordinarily good woman but I don't know that her exceptional qualities are related to her national origin. I have dated women from Germany, Ukraine, Poland, Ireland, Brazil, Colombia, Philippines, China, and India, but I have primarily dated women from the US.

Most American men that are interested in foreign women are conservative. The reason they are interested in foreign women is because the majority of American women are liberal and unacceptable as a partner to a good moral man. If a foreign woman is liberal, she is likely incompatible with the American men seeking foreign women.

Second was American. Same.
Third was Canadian. Married her. Had a daughter. Divorced.
Fourth... American again.
Fifth... first time I'd actually tried my luck with a local girl, or at least local as in English. Worst relationship of my life. But I stayed local after that regardless. All the LDRs took it out of me.
