If people want deluded themselves to thinking it's not so that's their own little dream world.
But I think it is, and guess what? I don't find fat attractive I have no shame in that. Despite me acknowledging it is shallow.
I'm a human I have shallow thoughts, sue me. The difference is I accept them, reflect on why I have them and not just wonder around taking no responsibility for my thoughts.
A big part of my thing towards fat is more mother issues I think cause she's well fat and horrible so bias, though we are also biologically inclined to not be attracted to abdomen fat as it's genetically unhealthy. There is also a matter of weight I am skinny as hell and don't see how it would be very comfortable doing certain things together.
There is a lot of reasons which factor my thoughts and I don't think I could change any of them so not going to, but I understand them rather than pretending it's not a problem that could be affecting me from dating someone who is great.
I am simply unattracted by people lacking self control. Being fat, smoking, spending too much on unnecessary things, etc.
Call me "shallow" and/or "fat-phobic" if anyone wants.
I never put anyone down for being fat until I once saw myself as one.
It's unhealthy at all levels to be fat.
There's nothing "good" or "trendy" or "new sexy" or "acceptable" about it.
People need to stop making excuses.
I did something about.
I slimmed down significantly to far healthier levels.
I did something about *it.
no, it's not shallow to not be attracted romantically or sexually to people that aren't very attractive (being overweight is typically objectively not hot). it's normal and biology. what would be shallow with overweight people is to look down on them, bully them, etc not just thinking they aren't attractive

What’s the definition of an overweight here? … generally speaking no I wouldn’t say I’m unattracted on principle if a woman looks overweight beyond what I would term as “carrying a few extra pounds “ . Incidentally I would always say that carrying a few extra pounds is normal and in my opinion more attractive than underweight. I wouldn’t never call people shallow if they prefer their partner trim as opposed to their definition of overweight , it can just be a preference just like there are those that prefer the opposite. Each to their own , just don’t abuse those that you consider over or underweight , be a decent human and not a fuckwit
I think it's the level to which you are. Like the people who use Ozempic to shed 5 vanity lbs. Those people are fat phobic.
I'm not attracted to fat people per se. But one of the last women I was attracted to was 225lbs. And I think most women and men on this site will tell you "that's too much". She wasn't fat though. For one thing she was tall. That's going to make her weigh more. But she had curves. And if she gained weight she just got currier. Some women just got it like that.
You’re usually attracted to people whom mirror your lifestyle. If you’re in good shape and live a healthy lifestyle you tend to be attracted to others that fit that description. Also media and upbringing play a part in what we consider beautiful and once you’ve shaped your mindset as a child to an adult it’s hard to just change it.
It's a frame of mind you have to live with, not just weight gain. There are two separate processes of thought that battle each other when together. Even if stirred by medication or medical reasons. Not finding someone attractive is biological and frame of mind fits into that.
This did not sound like how I planned. Four hours sleep out of 36 typing
I agree with you. And people who are fit are driven. You can't unflip that switch. It drives couch potatoes crazy.
I don't think about someone being overweight or fat unless if it shows, as in if they cannot tie their shoe, walk, or do physical activities; or get out of breath too quickly for... ahem, certain activities - that's when I think about it. It seems as a general rule they are not healthy. (But I know some overweight who seem to be healthy according to their dr.) I think it is natural to like healthy bodies and be attractive to health, so I don't think it makes someone fat phobic or shallow.
Maybe, but I remember when "arachnophobia" just meant an irrational fear of spiders. It didn't mean you hate spiders. I know it's extremely unlikely to be bitten by a spider just as I know it is extremely unlikely that an overweight person might smother me in a 69. It is enough of a guarantee to welcome you as a neighbor, but not as a housepet.
I would tend to say yes cause even fat people can have great face so if you're labelising them all as unattractive you do have some shallow / fat phobic thought in you.
I don't mind fat guy but i'm not a fan of underweight people touching them feel creepy and uncomfortable though there's some that still look attractive. so I think if you ruled out all fat people then yes you do have some bias against them for some reasons.
I thought you said it's natural to have preference. But you're right, I've seen some overweight girls who were pretty hot and I even though their bodies looked hot, as long as they weren't obese. Also, often when they have clothes you can't even really tell. I've had a few fat girls show interest in me.
I prefer fat girls over anorenix/very skinny girls as well. They look so scary, and I would be afraid I'd break her😂
Also, large girls tend to be more real and natural, so they're fun to watch too and she can be larger but still put effort into her appearance.
I'm glad to hear you don't mind fat men, if he has a nice face. I didn't think you would, but I'm glad you do ^^
I'm curious if you would like ME. I wouldn't say I'm fat, but I'm definitely chunky. Some don't like it, but one girl said I look good, and I'm less embarrassed about you seeing me now that I know you don't mind it XD. You wanna see me? 😊
@KostasKouvalis Having preference is normal but ruling everything out is not it mean there's a bias somewhere that is rooted in fat phobia (that is actually so rampant in America compared to France). After nobody is forcing anybody to date fat or underweight people or dark skinned or light skinned. We can't argue with people preference but yes ruling out everywhere by calling them ugly is fatphobia. Saying it's fatphobia doesn't mean I want them to date fat people but that's just how is it, the saying does seem to be extreme.
I'm usually into White blonde guys but I have had crush on guy who had black hair / eyes and tan skin.
It's the ruling everyone as ugly that rub me the wrong ways.
Many big girl are seen as attractive so long as the fat is correctly lodged.
It's sure if she have a distanted stomach that would look weird.
Totally and touching the bones is such a creepy feelings like I want to touch alive people not one that would faint if the wind blow.
Actually larger girl usually dress more feminine cause they try to compensate or they just like being curvier (Arab love being curvier in France one even gained a lot of weight on purpose, a singer named Wedjene, she gained ton of weight cause in her culture bigger women are seen as more attractive).
I'm pretty sure in America they would consider her to be obese, American seem very obsessed with being super skinny nowadays, like Kim Kardashian look so scary now
and that was Wedjene before she did her diet to gain weight :
^^
Majority of guys in my family are fat so I never had a problem with them also I hate people that are obsessed with their weight, people always tried to force me into not eating because i would get fat but I'm at a perfect healthy weight (and they're obese themselves the joke). Couldn't eat some meat without them harassing me that i'm eating too much.
Yes I wanna see ^^
Well, there are certain types of girls I probably wouldn't date, but I can still find them attractive, so you aren't wrong.
I don't think fatphobia/shaming is as big anymore with so many plus sized models being promotes. Did you see the post here about Miss Alabama. They even have entire porn genres devoted to larger girls.
Exactly
😂 My cousin had a Korean girlfriend and my grandma always said she looks like a skeleton and she can wrap her thumb and index finger around her arm😂
Not really here, but other places, yes. I've seen those girls. Curvy isn't bad.
That's cool. In Mauritania they force feed their children because only fat women can get a husband.
Obese, I don't think so, but some would definitely consider her thick. But I feel it's mostly people with the same or similar body types that find them attractive. I think fat shaming is worse in other places and also it's worse to be a fat man. I don't see anything wrong with that girl.
Most of my dad's family has always been fat. And my mom's brother's family are fat too now. Some people get fat as they get older.
JESUS! That's not healthy. I do that to myself sometimes. My mom advises me against it, but she also says I eat too much meat and don't exercise enough. I lost weight briefly after riding bikes in college, but put it back on.
I PMed it to you ^^
Everyone's saying "no" but nobody's posting an argument that wouldn't sound terrible if you replaced "fat" with "black"
What’s easier to control: skin color or weight
"If you're black (bad), you should control your skin color to make it white (good)"
You see my point here, Otterman? The fatphobia is so real that you blew past my argument to reiterate your belief that being fat is an inherent negative to be controlled, without even actually internalizing what I said.
I reject the theory that for most overweight people, it’s not a choice. You’re born into your race. You do NOT have control over that. No matter how much I tan, no one will ever mistake me for being black.
The best part is I said yes and agree that it's a shallow thing.
As I would also call that racist if this was on skin color.
But I am just laughing at this, it's like your almost there but yeah not quite lol.
Also just a fact here, that question has been posted here several times of is it racist to be attracted to etc one race more than another and people here mostly say no and say it's a preference.
Just as they've done to this question so your point actually leads no where as I have seen such same people say the exact same thing about race anyway and they don't think it's terrible at all.
So it's kinda a pointless tree to go down.
Then I guess you're just going to die stupid and wrong, Otter. No one will miss you.
i am not fat phobic. but you know who is? your own body. there's probably no other obvious superficial thing that can so reliably tell that you're gonna die early than being fat.
and i don't think i am shallow for rejecting fat people, cause in order to be fat you need to have a lack of self control, discipline and self care or you have some underlying morbidity. either way these aren't exactly things that are attractive to me.
No, not being attracted is normal, but if you are a rude fuck about it, you are a shallow fatphobic cunt. :D
No. I'm attracted to fit and healthy people who take care of their bodies. A couple extra lbs is fine but a couple dozen extra lbs isn't
kinda depends why you're not lol
like is it just your natural preference or do you got hate for em
It's a preference.
Also, many overweight people have bad habits that they don't (if not just outright refuse) to adress and fix. There are those who are overweight due to health issues that prevent putting out insulin and processing fat cells into energy, and they can't really help it.
Laziness, being a slob, and refusal to improve oneself, are always an unattractive traits. You shouldn't be shamed for that.
No, it means I’m not attracted to fat people. That’s pretty much it.
Eh... who cares about the trash who only like rakes?
Guys who like skinny girls do so because they have small penises, and they tend to be bitter about it.
TY for your insightful contribution
So it’s either underweight or overweight?
It's called being normal when we are not attracted to abnormal things.
As a bigger guy, I can honestly say no. I do not think you are shallow or fat phobic. Because that automatically insinuates that you just hate fat people. In the same way that if I were to say I'm not attracted to Trans women or black women, I am racist and homo-phobic. Which I am neither. I don't give a fuck if your one way or another. Just not my cup of tea. We all have a preference and type. I just am not yours! Lol that said. Enjoy your day.
If having preferences makes you all those things, then I’ll happily take those titles until the day I die.
99% of gag is fat phobic so this isn't the place to be asking this question
@Apple1996 are you fat?
I don't think so. Everyone has a right to preference, and it's not exactly something you can control. You can't force yourself to be attracted to something, though it is possible for tastes to change over time.
Not in the least. It’s how you treat people however that defines what kind of labels that apply to you.
Sometimes that is the problem with some people. Other times it is just a personal choice.
Not at all, there is nothing wrong with having preferences as far as attraction goes. If you are not putting people down or belittling them for whatever then you are not shallow or phobic about it.
Its a proxy signal for poor genes / health from an evolutionary perspective. Nothing wrong with what comes natural to all of us!
People are attracted to what they are attracted to. If they discriminate against people in general because of it, possibly.
No. That's retarded. In fact, MOST contemporary uses of "phobic" are retarded. It doesn't mean you're AFRAID of fat people. It means you don't want to fuck them.
Bring obese is unhealthy. Why would it be shallow or fat phobic to be attracted to healthy people?
in my opinion no, it’s just not your thing.
Probably, but I don't give a d**n.
No just means u still have good eye sight.
Nope
