Even though there are more categories and options in the dating world, has that really complicated things. Now there is another additional term called the situationship.
Then we have to be specific on what's the reason you're dating because even a serious relationships isn't the same as actually looking to form a family. There is dating just as friends with benefits, dating without any label but acting like we're a couple, date just to have a boyfriend/girlfriend for fun (casual dating) but don't live with them, dating for a long-term relationship and cohabitation but no kids nor marriage, dating to get married and have kids, etc.
Even when saying you want something serious, you have to be specific on that too. Has all this made things complicated? In the past, it was really either casual dating (boyfriend and girlfriend for too long and no kids), random sex (strangers, friends with benefits, orgies, ONS) or settling down (marriage).

A lot of people are only on the dating apps without the actual intention of dating. Most women love getting validation from all the messages they get and end up not wanting to settle with one guy and as a result men are getting more frustrated with lack of results for them on the apps.
Yes precisely. They don't care about getting to one the person better nor what is the person's goals or if they even have similar hobbies. It's all about just dating for the heck of pleasure or a romantic date but not actually getting to know the person, taking the time to develop a geunine connection.
No. To me it's pretty simple the light is either on or off. You either want somebody in your life or you don't. You're either committed to them or you're not.
Most people that are not, simply do NOT want to own up to that fact. Because they want to get as much as the can without giving anything or minimally. And thier actions are always justified in thier mind somehow.
That's why things were easier in the old times because there were only 3 categories, nothing more. People that were very serious in their relationship have eventually have a family and those that weren't serious, just continue dating for years.
No, of course not.
