I would be very hurt because I clearly like them. I think it would effect my self esteem and mental health thinking anytime people ask that, it is a joke. I'd also think am I that ugly that they're picking on me.

Oops I did that before to my friends as a joke, none got offended and they also said they were joking that they want to be my girlfriend/boyfriend ( depends on the friend's gender ).
