How long should it take for a girl & boy to be offical couple?

Should you be offical after 2nd date, 5th date, 6 months, 1 year? 2 years?

When I went on a date with a girl and we clicked, we might start dating exclusively right away. Why keep looking for someone else if you found someone who is sexually attractive you like each other a lot?

I only dated one woman at a time. I always thought it would be disrespectful to do otherwise. I wanted to give her all my attention and the best chance of making a relationship work.

So we would keep going on dates and talking on the phone and getting to know each other. Once we were committed to being exclusive, our relationship usually became sexual pretty quickly. Why not?

Because I never had guy make relationship offical with me. Give me no label as girlfriend. The one guy I dated my entire life he was a fuckboy, he dated me few years but never met family , lived together , no pics. I thought since he dated me he was my boyfriend but no he say he single & don’t want marriage or baby with me

Eh. It doesn't really matter as much as you think since you could be an "official couple" with a person who is cheating on you or treating you poorly. Or you could be an "official couple" with someone who is loyal and values you.

You can never know for sure which type of person you're dealing with on day 1. There's a lot of guessing and finding out as you go along. I wouldn't worry about labels so much. If that other person enjoys spending all of their free time (not counting hobbies they may do) with you it's a very good sign. If they can only manage to fit you in once every 3-4 weeks it's a bad sign. Unless they're working an 80 hour/week job.

There's people who are together for years and it was a BAD relationship but outsiders thought it was great. You want a boyfriend, be smart and aim for the high quality ones. And if you want that you better make yourself the kind of quality woman such guys want. I would worry way more about making myself that than surveys about dating.

Not that long... I mean, let's be real; relationships aren't THAT complicated.

Even if you don't start dating until after you've known each other for a few years, you really ought to vaguely know if there's a romantic possibility after consistent interactions across the course of a few months.

You do need those consistent interactions though. You can't do this bullshit that a lot of people do where they act like they can get a vibe after a couple of encounters with someone. You can't know that quickly. You just can't. At minimum, you have to see how someone handles different levels of inconvenience and conflict 3-5 times.

You can get a real good idea of who you're dealing with by watching how they treat people they don't care about impressing.

There are no rules when it comes to a timeline in dating. My most recent girlfriend and I made it official after our first date. We hit it off really well and just felt it. My ex before that was about 6 months of dating. And my ex before that was about 2 years of getting to know in high school to college and eventually ended up dating.

Go at whatever pace you're comfortable with. Go with the flow.
