He said “I love your face” what does this mean?

We have been seeing each other a lot over 2 months. He texted me this and he’s with the boys. Possibly drunk?

I would presume drunkeness. It's type type of thing a person might say when drunk feeling its romantic.

If he was sober, I'd say it could just be clumbsyness. Also, if you just sent him a headshot of you recently, he might feel he's expressing a postive view of the picture.

It does come over as a weird thing to express, and sounds potentially snarky. I'd only worry if there's other red flags, if its an isolated thing just put it down to drunkeness or thoughless commentary. Maybe say, "hey, I hope you love more than just my face lol"; Though that could backfire if he alights on "I love your body too", instead of "I love all of you".

See if it bugs you, over time and if it does just politely let him know that if its just about how your face looks not who you are, your not sure this is going to work. Only do that though if its bugging you a lot, because making it an issue if it's some misstep could cause more problems than it solves.
