Who do you think takes rejection better men or women?

I believe men do because as a whole we get rejected way more so we're use to it. Also women barley approach guys so it's rare for them to get rejected plus the times they do I'm sure they will get the guy 8 out 10 times. But in lesibian relationship not to sure about that. I'm talking mostly about heterosexual relationships.

More just depends on the person in my opinion, without there necessarily being as much of a gender divide. Yeah, men get rejected in the context of asking people out more, but rejection at its core is the same across the board and what you deal with the best/worst is more just a reflection of your personal insecurities (which obviously varies significantly between people). I think insecurity and immaturity are way more telling of a person's ability to handle rejection than gender and that gender is not a good predictor.

I do think that getting rejected frequently can help you develop the ability to handle rejection, but it's definitely is not guaranteed to depending on several other circumstances (ex. presence/lack of emotional support, self-esteem, experience receiving rejection in other contexts).

I think it's also important to recognize that because of the passive role that women traditionally take in the process of asking people out, simply not being asked out (especially in contexts where other people frequently are) serves as a form of rejection from the opposite sex. (I know a lot of people probably don't think of it that way because it's not an intentional rejection and it sounds really immature at a glance, but if you have a passive role then you receive passive rejection.)

Personally I just support both parties asking people out and learning to take it better because there are way too many people on both sides that don't know how to take a "no" with grace and maturity.

Yea I agree both genders sometimes do take it great. But women have a harder time because they don't get rejected as often. And that Glance example is ridiculous, how can that be rejection if they guy didn't even know she liked him or she never tried.

I mean, I don't think it's a good attitude, but basically if your participation in a space is marked by your ability to get someone else to give you attention and you fail to do that then you may very well feel rejected. It's kind of like feeling rejected if you don't hear back on job applications or if you have trouble making friends (regardless of the reason), you'll experience rejection even if no one says it to your face. That's just how humans work. Anyway, I undrstand why it would make sense to people that men would be better with romantic rejection because they get rejected more overtly and frequently in that context, I just haven't actually seen people's behavior reflect that trend, so I'm inclined to believe it's more complicated.

Short-Term: Like you go to a bar, approach and get rejected. Guys get very desensitized to that, admirably so bc that first approach is tough.

Long-Term: You get all involved and tangled up into one another’s lives. Guys clam up and get cranky and closure can be odd… Girls are better at that.

Men , face constant rejection , their entire lives , from the minute they are born , so they are accustomed to it , women on the other hand get very nasty , its much more difficult for them to deal with , they hate facing it , men just carry on.

Men. We have to. If a woman had to take as much rejection as men have to they would just up and quit dating. But also understand women perceive many things as rejection that aren't. You can't be rejected unless you actual ask someone out. And women seldom do that. They count a guy not asking them out as rejection as well. Which is of course ridiculous.

Murder is just the worst. Other men behave very badly, harassing and threatening women who have rejected them. There's no question that a men are far more likely to abuse a woman who has rejected them.

Romantically, no only been other way around. Currently 2 dudes are playing trying and playing tug a war.🙄😆 In general for other stuff like jobs, to be able to do things, as a female in society, or a minority in America, success and attempts for being able to do things due to "less capable" mentally (I was no valedictorian, have anxiety, have PTSD, psychological abuse, and a couple other disorders, etc.) all the time. I've learned to ignore them fight and find my own way.
