Guys who are married, how long into meeting your partner did you know you were gonna marry them?

And by meeting I mean like actually being introduced/getting to know them. Was if after y’all started dating? Was it pretty much that same night you met them (I’ve heard some men knew the second they met)?

It was about a year and a half. The only reason I did it was because she's in the military... they move her all over the place. If married, they'll move me with her.

I still disagree with the entire concept of marriage, but circumstances like mine sort of forced my hand. 16 years next month with kids and shit in the teens.

Glad I'm not in today's sexual market place... talk about shit for options.

How long did it take for you to figure out they were the one? Or did you figure that out on the first date?

Probably after about a month I was 90% sure. Meeting up was chaos. I wasn't 100% sure until we were actually face to face. I picked her up, we went to dinner. She had an appointment at the French embassy next morning so we'd got a hotel - two rooms - booked and I proposed after dinner. She said yes and I went to my room a happy Man. Next day the French refused to let me into their embassy and so I stood outside for 3 hours while they pissed her about. In London, in February, in the rain without my coat!
