Why do some people get attention from their crush by being annoying?

Because to them saying how they really feel is too scary, so they try to get their crush's attention in other ways. They don't think they're being annoying, they think they're being fun. But they don't notice that they're taking their "fun" too far. I used to do that to a girl I liked in middle school, I thought I was playing my cards right at the time.

I guess cause they can grow any connection with them, any is better than none and I guess, or at the least, same goes for attention
