Obviously you want people to say “they have money” so you can paint all women out to be gold digging whores, and yeah those do exist! But there are those of us who are worth millions ourselves, and don’t need any man’s money? So how do you explain, my getting engaged to a slightly overweight nerdy looking guy, when I’m decently attractive woman, I was an athlete, who keeps up with my workout I did when a was an athlete, so I definitely have a good, athletic body. Lee, was (and still is) funny, he made me laugh hysterically without telling me any jokes, he just has an amazing sense of humor, he was confident in himself, he’s sweet, and not afraid to show his feelings. And for a nerd he’s really cute, and he has a great ass! (I can say that b/c we’re engaged!). True, he’s started to work out, but he wants to be a forensic psychologist with the FBI, so he’s a major nerd. He’s also broke! In fact I bought him a car for Christmas. Which was also coincidentally the day he asked me to marry me.

Not all women are gold diggers, not all women are superficial, and likewise not all men are superficial! We are all individuals, with different beliefs, ethics, morals, and standards! Also, some of us were raised in a two parent household, and despite shitty things happening to us, are fairly well adjusted.

They settle. Plain and simple. Their dating pool gets smaller and more shallow everyday. Addiction, incarceration, no job, irresponsible, lazy, mommy issues, toxic, no education or trade... The list goes on and on on top of the fact that they lost about 8-13% of men who previously would have married but since it's now safe to be gay they removed themselves from eligibility for women. No joke these women have a HARD TIME just finding mediocre.

They shoot their shot, I guess.

But I guess there's other important components in dating.

Such as being in the right place, ie being socially active so opportunities crop up.

And being honest. ie being sexual and down to earth. Some are gentlemen to the extent that they don't even make it obvious they like the girl. So they just become a friend in her mind.

By asking. Apparently, a large number of men have concluded that dating isn't worth it, and taking to telling other men that women are the spawn of the devil. This means fewer men approaching women, which naturally improves their odds.
