Girls, How come some people stop dating for a while like 10+ years?

I have a friend and she said she hasn’t dated since she was 23 and now she’s 36. She’s talked to guys and dated but it didn’t workout. Her friends nagged at her by asking when will she find a man or said they gotta hook her up with a man.
I mean my friend is a kind, intelligent, smart woman that works as a teacher and got her master’s degree. She also is a Christian, family oriented and I don’t understand why she doesn’t have a man yet. I asked her, “You are all those things and no man snagged you girl? Look I know you were hurt in your last relationship even though parts of it was your fault because you knew what kind of guy he was but come on. You’ve matured and you’re getting close to 40. You’re not that young anymore. You’re basically middle age.” She said she’ll find the right guy and she’s still young and not middle aged yet.

1. She is already past the age of getting a good quality man. Dating IS a competition, and good quality men have more options.

2. She is past the age of having healthy kids too. (Sure, if she thinks 1 in over 1,000 is a sure bet then go for it.)

3. A degree doesn't add to her appeal as a mate. All it likely did was waste her more desirable years when she could have just waited for that if she wanted a good partner.

4. I've worked in schools for 14 years. Most women teachers make terrible mates and have very liberal, anti-family, anti-man views, even though they often try to hide it in front of some people.

Just don't make the same mistakes that she did because ultimately, people have to live with the consequences of their own actions/decisions in life.

Wow is all that even true? I don’t believe it because my mom is a teacher and she’s an amazing wife to my dad so don’t always assume that but the others you have a point. I mean she did waste her years being single and she’s almost 40!!!

I have friends like this who don't wanna date... Virgin friends who never been in a relationship and who had one that was not bad.

Right now she is happy alone and dating is so hard and emotionally damaging at times. Especially on apps and irl.

She is happy and most likely has a sex toy that she adored keeping her happy down there. Let her go for her goals. While her hormones are to low for kids.

When she is happy and comfy she will feel the need and desire for a family. As many of my female friends say. Thier toys are usually better then Thier bfs.

Making love is amazing and can't be beat but it is a lot of effort.

It's not a reflection of you that she won't go for what she wants. It's all her choice as a friend it's hard to accept but she is happy now.

Yeah but she’s almost 40 and she is wasted her 13 years being single which she was young enough to have a mate. Her biological clock to have children is ticking. She is going to regret.
