Why do guys stop dating their girlfriend when they are in a longterm relationship?

When you’re in a long term relationship, why do guys lose the interest in doing things together as a couple?

I feel like they only want to hang in front of the tv all night after coming home. Why don’t they initiate to do things together from time to time?

This is ofcourse not for all guys, but its something i hear a lot in general, so I was wondering?

Seems like as people get past the initial courting phase of a relationship that they settle into having other priorities during the week like their jobs. How often would you want to go out?

The relationship becomes a routine, it never becomes the same thing from the beginning. The ideal is to try to do different things, like walk in places you've never been, travel, etc.
