I agree, it undermines autonomy and doesn't encourage resilience. It leads to them being victimized because the boyfriend shield them from truth and they try dealing with it there self. And over time they can become a spoiled entitled brat.

It can have a negative impact on individual and society.

I'm a young dude whose against coddling girlfriends. Being sweet kind vouching for good reasons and giving em what makes em happy is good, but spoiling and overindulging, you gotta chill on that. Girls need space to live theere life and face the world and stand up for there self, and aren't perfect little angels in every context.

It's better to be a kind sweet supportive boyfriend who vouches and gives but doesn't coddle or spoil.
